Car Crazy

Talan loves the movie Cars. Yesterday he found some car pajamas at the store and he was not leaving with out them. He wants to wear them constantly and throws a fit when it is time to get dressed. It is Car madness at the Christensen’s we are watching cars, reading our Cars book, coloring in our Cars book or pretending to be Cars.

How long did we date: 1 1/2 Years
Where he works: Wilson Audio, studying to be a CPA.
Who eats the sweets: ME!!! Jason is much more health conscious than myself.
Who said I love you first: He did.
Who is taller: Jason, by 6 inches (6'2")
Who sings better: Jason. I couldn't carry a tune to save my life!
Who is smarter: I don't know. That's a hard one.
Who does the laundry: I do, because Jason always forgets to turn the dryer on after putting the clothes in.
Who pays the bills: I Do. He just puts the money in the bank, then I do the rest.
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed: Jason
Who mows the lawn: I do it most of the time. I love working out in the yard.
Who cooks dinner: I do, I love trying out new recipes.
Who drives: Jason
Who admits they are wrong: We both do, we rarely fight and when we do neither one of us stays mad for long.
Who asked who out first: He asked me out, while on a date with another girl.
Who wears the pants: It's pretty even. However, Jason would say that I do. He is so easygoing.
What does he do that surprises you: Went to Twilight with me.
My favorite feature on him: His blue eyes! I am so glad Talan got the blue eyes instead of my boring green eyes.
Favorite quality he has: He is a hard worker. Especially right now with working full time and going to school full time. He always makes sure that we are taking care of.
Does he have a nickname for you: Babe.
His favorite food: Chicken Parmesan and homemade Oreos!
His favorite sport: Basketball with the guys from work.
Our favorite thing to do as a couple: We like to go on mini vacations. Who knew Evanston Wyoming could be so fun. We love visiting new places.
Does he have any hidden talents: He like to draw and karaoke.
What do you admire most about him: He gets along with everyone and rarely gets angry with others. He always put others needs in front of his own. Even if it is staying up until 2 in the morning working on Tootsie Bug orders.
His favorite color: Blue, I think.
How did he propose: He came to my house with 12 white roses on each of them he had wrote something special that we had done for each of the 12 months that we had dated. Then he asked me to marry him. I loved it because of all the thought that he put into it.

We just got our photos back from Whitney and we absolutely love them. However, there is a downside with so many great photo how do you choose which ones to blow up and frame. So I have posted a small sampling of them. Thanks again Whit, your the best.

If a Little is Good.......Alot is Better!

Last Night Talan came into the office where I was working and said that he wanted his hair done. I told him it was late and that it was almost time for bed so I would do his hair in the morning. Well my determined 2 year old took it upon himself to do his hair and here a few photos to show what happened. Hair gel can also be used as body lotion.

Not only does Talan like to do his hair, he likes to floss his teeth or at least suck all of the flavor off 25 yards of floss!

The Hills

Okay! I admit it I watch the Hills. As a matter of fact we got Talan's name from Laguna Beach. I guess watching the show make me feel young and hip!

1/2 Marathon

Last week was the Springville 1/2 Marathon and just about everyone of my neighbors ran it. In the morning our neighborhood streets are filled with runners, I think I live in the most healthy area in the state. So I am going to take the plunge and work towards running in next years 1/2 marathon. For those of you who don't know me this is a huge goal, because I absolutely HATE to run. So I have decided to start slow and work on adding distant. So far it has not been too bad but I have only been running for two days now. I hope that by putting this on my blog it will encourage me to keep running. So I am going to keep my running log on my blog so you can see my progress.

Anyone Need a Car Wash?

Jason and Talan spent the entire day washing all of the cars. Talan's favorite is Jason's 66 Bronco which he call Dad-da's Beep (Jeep)! Everyday when Jason gets home from work Talan wants to go for a ride in the Bronco. He loves riding around with the top off.

4th of July

Our 4th of July was fun but very long. Jason and I spent the morning running the Tootsie Bug Booth at the Freedom Festival, it was sooo HOT! That evening we went to the neighborhood BB-Q it was fun. Talan has so much fun playing with the neighborhood kids, however he hates fireworks. He did like the snaps and the sparkler, but anything that made a loud noise he cried hysterically. So we sent most of the night watching the fireworks from inside the house. Hopeful by next year he will like them better.

Talan went swimming at Grandma Christensens's today. She said it only took him about 15 minutes to warm up to the idea. I think that I have the only child in the world who doesn't like to swim.

Talan just had his 2nd Birthday. He is looking so much like a little boy and not my sweet little baby. We had so much fun at his party, he got tons of art stuff from grandma and grandpa Jones, a new bike from Joe and Jess and a bunch a cloths from the Christensens. Dad made him a sandbox and he loves it. We have a hard time getting him out of it.

This week has been so crazy but fun. Friday night we had a baby shower for Ashley, and she got so many cute things. Sometimes I forget how fun it is to have a get together with all the girls, I am so grateful for all the wonderful friends that I have. It was so good to see them all and hear about what is going on in everyone's lives.
Saturday was also a crazy day. We had the Tootsie Bug photo shoot. Whitney did an amazing job with the photos, I love her artistic style. It was fun seeing all the little girls having fun dressing up in the tutus and bows. I have posted a couple of the photos that were taken. This coming week looking to be extreme busy. Just of few of the thing on my list include, being called to jury duty for the 4th time in 2 months, doing the Art City Baby Contest, working FULL time, are just a few of the thing on my list. Hopeful they will all go well.
