Water Babies

Talan just started swimming lessons and I have to admit that he is doing much better than I thought he would. Until a month ago he would only take a shower becuase he was afraid of the water. Thanks to a cartoon, he was worried that he would get sucked down the drain of the bathtub and so he would only take showers. After two lessons he is alreading jumping in the water and using a noodle to float by himself. Trying to decied if he is going to get in the pool.Swimming around the pool with dad.
Practicing kicking.
Learning how to float on his back, this is his least favorite part of class.
After swimming lessons Talan told grandma that he didn't want to put his face in the water because he didn't want water in his nose, ears and eyes. Needless to say grandma and Talan came back from Wal-mart with googles, ear plugs and nose plugs. Talan couldn't wait to put them on. However, he still will not put his face in the water. Lincoln had to join in the fun.

A day at PCMC.

Arriving at PCMC around 1:15. This should be a short appointment, only labs and clinic. (no imaging.)
Getting tagged. First stop outpatient admitting.

Lincoln's sad face is because he realizes that we are waiting in the hospital's lab.
Just waiting our turn. Get called back at 1:30.
Lincoln still in a good mood.
The nurses looking for a vein. This takes forever.
Lincoln showing his battle wounds. We spent 20 minutes, 2 nurses and 3 pokes later we finally got all the blood work that was ordered.
Heading to the"Hang Out". During the last 6 months we have spent way to much time sitting on these benches in between appointments.
It is now around 2:00, waiting for them to run the labs.
Still waiting.
At our appointment with Dr Book. First we get a weight.
Then we check his height and vitals.
Then we see the nurse, and resident.
Finally we see Dr Book. Sorry I didn't get any photos with them. I was too busy disusing Livers, something I never knew I would know so much about. This appointment turned out okay. His liver and spleen are no longer enlarged but his lab work shows that his levels are still elevated. So we get to come see Dr Book again. Finally we leave at 4:45. What a long day!

Lincoln's Half Birthday!

Lincoln turned 6 months old on the 5th of March. He is getting so big and is developing a cute personality. He is such a little dare devil and seems to have no fear of anything. At 6 months he is 271/2 inches and 19.6 pounds.

Last night we let Lincoln try some green beans. At first he was so excited.
These photos show what he thinks of green beans.
I love this picture! His expression is priceless. He seems to be saying "I can't believe you would feed this to me!"

Maybe we will try something new tomorrow.
