Pumpkin Patch

Talan's Preschool Class. This year Mrs Jackie took the kids to a pumpkin patch.
We saw alot of things like pumpkins hanging from the ceiling.
A giant garden full of vegetables.
They had tons of these cut outs along the way and Talan made sure that I got his picture in everyone of them.
They have a little village and the kids had fun playing in the different buildings.

For some reason this was the kids favorite thing to play on.
Talan had fun seeing all the different things at the patch and playing with his classmates.

He even posed by the barn so that I could get a photo.
Talan loves preschool so far and is excited every morning when it is preschool day. He loves when they get to ride the stick horses, make craft projects and have play time.

Nap Time

Lincoln loves to play in my laundry basket. One afternoon he decided that it would be a good place to settle in for a nap.
I love how little ones can fall asleep anywhere. It looks like one minute he is playing with his car and the next he is fast asleep.

Green Tigers

This was Talan's first year playing soccer. He had fun kicking the ball as long as none of
the other kids were around him.
Talan did a great job of kick goals during practice but once on the field for a game he didn't want to kick the ball. I asked him why he wouldn't kick the ball during the game. He told me that he didn't like being kicked or pushed by the other kids.
So Talan spent the games chasing the group of kids up and down the field and waving at the spectators.
Every so often he would pretend to fall. The he would stand up and brush himself off. He would tell us "It's hard work playing soccer."
He is so dramatic.
Talan's favorite part of soccer is throwing the ball in and of course snacks after the game.
Talan's team named themselves the Tigers.
The kids were so fun to watch. The hardest part about soccer is remembering which one is your goal.

Lincoln at the game cheering on his brother.
Talan had a big fan club. Both Grandmas & Grandpas, Jenny, Mom, Dad and Lincoln were at every game. Talan had a great time playing soccer and is already asking when he gets to play again. It will be fun to see how he improves over the years.
Way to go Talan and the Green Tigers!

Talan's 1st Day of Preschool!!

Talan was so excited to start preschool. I was a little worried that he would not want me to leave him there.

Talan is getting so big, he can write his name, say the alphabet, name the colors.

Jason came home so that he could go with us to the 1st day of school.

Getting ready to go into Raspberry Sawhorse Preschool.

Talan found his chair and started to color his frog.

Talan telling us it was time for us to leave. I think he is already embarrassed of his parents. It will be so fun to see how much he will learn this year.

The Zoo 2010

Every year we try to take the boys to the Hogle Zoo. Talan loves the zoo and counts down the days until we go. The first stop at the zoo is always the train. It is almost as good as riding on Thomas in Heber.
Talan excitedly waiting for the train.

Lincoln's first train ride.
Jason and Lincoln.
Talan and I love to ride on the very last car becuase the seat is backwards.

The water ball is the other big hit at the zoo. Both of the boys loved to play in the water.
Lincoln decided to put his head in the water.

Lincoln loves to play in the water. He has even learned how to turn on the water in the bath tub and if you are not looking he lifts up the toilet lid and sneaks in a couple of splashes.

We went to the animal show were you could touch some of the animals. Talan touched a hissing cocroah. I  was surprised I didn't think he would.

Licnoln didn't like the show.
Lincoln liked the Merry Go Round.

Talan even road on the Merry Go Round. This is the first year. Every year we have tried it but usually Jason ends up riding by himself.
We had a lot of fun at the Zoo with Grandma  and Grandpa Jones.

Hiking the Y

The other day Jason and I were going for a drive and talking about all the things that we have never done that are close by. I have never been to Timp Cave, Diamond Fork Hot Pots or hiked to the Y. So we decided that next Saturday we were going to hike to the Y. We dropped the kids off at grandma's and headed off for our adventure. We start driving toward the parking lot. As I was looking at the mountain to see how far up the Y was I noticed what appeared to be alot of people already up there. I made Jason look, he said there are always a few people up there. I tried to tell them that there were more than a few up there, but he just laughed me off.  We finally reached the road that would take us up to the Y parking lot. There were cars parked along both sides of the road as we turned the corner a herd of BYU students were walking up the road. Jason and I were laughing so hard, we could not believe that in the 30 years we have lived here the only day we decided to hike the Y so did the entire student body on BYU. Since we are not young and hip and would stick out like a sore thumb we decided to go some where else to hike. Bridal Veil Falls seemed like the next best place since we were limited on time. So off we went.

Jason at the bottom of the Falls.

I am standing on a bridge and just below me is a great place to wade if it was warmer then 60 degrees.

The falls were so pretty. I could sit and listen to the water all day.
Jason and I hiked up as far as was allowed. We were up there with another couple so we took turns snapping photos.

I have always heard of people hiking up the falls so I thought that the trail would be better than what it was. There are a few places that I was praying I would not slip and roll down the mountain. We had a good time, but I would still like to hike to the Y. Maybe next year before all the BYU students come back for school.
