Oh Brother...

After having a baby everyone has an opinion about who the baby looks like. Everyone in my family thinks the baby looks like me. Everyone in Jason's family thinks the baby looks like him. Then they compare the boys. Several people have wanted to see the boy's photos together to make a comparison. So here they are... They are about the same age in the photos.

Talan says the Darndest things...

I love having kids, well not as much as Michelle Duggar. We are lucky enough to have a live in comedian. Lately Talan has been making up words to songs such as " Row Row Row your boat gently down your under pants" or " The itsy bitsy spider climbed up the giant meatball" Just a couple of days ago we went to McDonald to get breakfast. I was asking Talan what he wanted for breakfast, he said I want a breakfast sandwich and a prize. I told him they don't have prizes for breakfast. He replied let me talk to the people. I love that he thought he would persuade them into giving him a prize. In all reality they probably would have because he is just so cute.

He is also an aspiring doctor. My grandma got him a Dr kit and now everyone has to have a check up. He called my grandma and told her she need to come to his office for a check up. He said you come over when the sun come up, to my office in the living room and I will give you a check up. He has scheduled the whole family for check ups as of right now he is booked through June.

Lincoln is getting so big!

Lincoln is 3 months old and he is getting so big. He is close to 13lbs and growing out of his 3-6 month old clothes. He loves to have tummy time on his boppy and smile and coo at you. He has just started sleeping through the night which is such a blessing. I love you Lincoln!

Girls Night Out

I have the best friends in the world. We have so much fun when we get together, I always leave with a side ache from laughing so hard. This year Holly's garbage bag story takes the cake, I was laughing so hard I was in tears. They may not be Kandell quality parties but I look forward to them every year. I think it is so wonderful that even after being out of school 12 years our group of friends still get together every few months to gossip (I mean catch up).

The book tree

This year we have a book tree. Every night we read Talan a bedtime story, so this year we started a new tradition. We have a book tree in his room. A book tree is a tree that has wrapped Christmas books under it. Every night Talan gets to pick a present and that becomes the bed time story. We then read the book under the Christmas tree. I think its going to be a fun tradition. After Christmas you gather up a the Christmas stories and put them away for next year so that the kids don't get bored with them and they are new and exciting each year. I am trying to install a love of reading, I am a little worried about him wanting to read because every night in Talan's prayers he blesses the TV.

Live Nativity

Talan was asking us if we could go see the candle, it took us a long time to realize that he wanted to see the camel. You got to love the 3 year old talk.
We went to the live nativity at the Provo Tabernacle on Thursday. It was a fun little Christmas outing. They had a short reenactment of the Jesus birth, and outside they had the nativity animals that you could pet. Talan keeps telling everyone that he went and saw baby Jesus.
