Overview of January

January has been a crazy month for the Christensen household. Everyone is constantly on the move and we are all going in different directions. Needless to say we love it when the weekend rolls around. Here is a quick overview on what we have been up to this month.

LINCOLN: Lincoln loves watching his brother. He is absolutely fascinated by everything Talan does. He definitely will be a little tag-a-long when he gets old enough to keep up with his big brother.

Lincoln has just learned how to hold his own bottle. It makes me sad that he is growing up so fast. When you are feeding him he pushes your hands away and wants to do it himself. I can already tell that he is going to be an independent little boy.

Lincoln loves playing with his toys, whether he is in his swing or laying on the floor. Of course every toy he gets a hold of goes directly in his mouth.

Lincoln is such a happy little boy. He loves to babble and laugh. He has recently learned how to squeal when he gets excited. It is so fun to listen to all the cute noises he makes.

He also has learned to put his hands in yours when he wants to be lifted up. He can also pull himself up to a sitting position. It won't be long until he can sit on his own.

Lincoln has also been practicing rolling over. He can get over but those cute little arms get in the way and he cries because he is stuck. I am sure in a few more day he will have it all figured out.

TALAN:

Talan loves to help me in the kitchen. He has his own cutting board, knife and kitchen utensils. When we are not cooking in the kitchen we making meals with Play Dough. He got a Play Dough hamburger maker for Christmas and loves to make his dad "Surprise Dinner" with it.

Talan likes to play in the snow with grandpa or "Bill" as Talan calls him. He likes to be pulled around the yard in his sled or just helping grandpa outside.

We are always making some kind of craft. It may be a new garage for a car, a tunnel for trains or just a new picture to hang on the fridge. Talan loves to paint, color or put stickers on anything he can find.

Most of all Talan is hoping that Spring will get here fast. Yes, this is a swimming pool in grandma's living room. If you are wondering, there is water in it. Only at grandmas can you go swimming in the middle of winter.

KRISTA:

I have been busy this month also. Most of my time is spent taking care of two wonderful little boys. I am so lucky to be their mom. They definitely keep me on my toes. Lincoln thinks that it is fun to wake up at 4:30 am to play and Talan is always near by wanting to help with what ever I am doing.

I have also been busy in the kitchen. I love cooking and trying new recipes. I wish I had the same feelings towards exercising. I love to make sweets, but hate having them around the house due to my lack of self control. If anyone would like some let me know and I will bring over my latest creation. Part of my New Years resolution is to learn some new skills. I decided to take a class in photoshop, so hopefully you will be seeing some better photos on my blog. I also am hoping to take a cake decoration class and a photography class. Maybe when Jason is done with school I will go back to school and get my MBA. I just wish I had more hours in the day to accomplish all the things I want to try.

I have also been busy trying to make some new products for Tootsie Bug. One of the products is fabric flowers. I hope to have them to the Quilted Bear in the the next few days. If anyone has some ideas on products that they would like us to carry please comment below and we will see what we can come up with. I am so blessed to have this business opportunity. Most people don't get to have a job that they can do at home and have a creative outlet. I love everything about this little company and hope that it will continue to prosper.

I also have been busy working my 3rd job at an Optometry office. I work 2-3 days a week pre-testing and running screens on peoples eyes. It is a great place to work and I enjoy all those who I work with. I love the fact that I don't hate my job and don't mind getting called in when help is needed.

JASON:

Jason's is the easiest update. His days are spent at Wilson Audio making sure that all the speakers arrive safely to their new homes and that all the products need to make the speakers arrive on time. He spends at least 45 hours a week at work. It is his home away from home.

When he is not at work, he is at school studying accounting. We have finally made it to his senior year and we all can't wait for him to graduate even though we know that he will shortly be entering a graduate progam. I have to admit that I have enjoyed helping him with his marketing homework. He is enrolled full time, so as you can imagine we don't have him around alot and I know the boys love it when he is home.
