Happy V-Day

Making Valentines for the grandmas and grandpas!
Lincoln is such a happy baby.
Working hard on making the perfect heart.
Ready to deliver his Valentines.

Our V-day Table.

The boys have been hearted.
Too Excited.
Just a little taste. This week has been a busy week getting ready for Valentines Day. On Thursday, Talan and I went shopping for paper, glue and other items to make Valentines with. He could hardly wait for Jason to come home so we could make Valentines for the Grandma and Grandpas. When Jason got home we spent the night cutting, gluing and coloring hearts. Talan loves to do anything artistic. So making cards was so much fun for him. Using the glue was his favorite, so he spent most of the night just gluing papers together. We did, however get the job done and he was excited to show them to the grandparents.
The night before Valentines was a busy night also. Jason and I hearted both of the boys doors and blew up a ton of balloons. We have been doing the balloon tradition since Jason and I were first married. Waking up to balloons everywhere is the highlight of Valentine's Day for Talan. Talan woke up around 3am and came into our room. He woke me up and excitedly told me that someone had left balloons all over the house and a sign on his door. We told him to go back to sleep and we would get up in a little while and see what had happened.
When the boys woke up we followed the balloon path to the table were they found sock monkeys, Bubbles, Candy and Bubble bath. Lincoln loved the sock monkey and wanted to eat the bubbles. Talan was more interested in the stuffed heart and bear I got from Jason. After we all had breakfast, Grandma and Grandpa Jones stopped by and dropped off Valentines for the boys. Talan got the "Fire Doctor" (Ambulance) and nurse car he has been asking for and Lincoln got a ball that lights up when you roll it around. After visiting and playing with Grandma and Grandpa we loaded up and went to lunch with Grandma and Grandpa Christensen. We had a great Chinese lunch, and an enjoyable afternoon chatting with Jason's aunts, uncles and other family members who joined us. We got a giant plate of fried won tons on the house since it was also Chinese New Year. After hours of chatting and eating we headed home and got the boys ready for bed. Lucky for us they were exhausted from the busy day and feel asleep on our bed watching Cars.
So Jason and I had a romantic evening eating chocolate fondue and watching "Undercover Boss" .
