Thanksgiving 2010

This was my first year cooking Thanksgiving dinner. We decided to have Grandma and Grandpa Jones over to celebrate with us.

Talan wanted to help me decorate the table so he made some hand print turkey drawing to add to the table decore.

Me slaving away in the kitchen. Actually cooking was not that bad.

Licoln having a pre Thankgiving dinner snack.

Lately Lincoln likes to have his picture taken. Say cheese.

Talan could hardly wait for dinner. He loves to have people over for a party. Even if he kept referring to Thanksgiving as Father's Day. I guess we should be lucky that he wants to have Father's Day so often.

Me and my boys.

Can we eat yet?

The boys with Grandpa Jones or Bill as Talan calls him.

Talan snuggling with his favorite person.

Finally it was time to eat. I got everything set out and Talan asked me where his Wendy's chili was. I told him it was in the fridge. He refused to eat Thanksgiving dinner, all he wanted was his chili. Oh well, at least he ate something. Is my cooking really that bad??

Lincoln loved the mashed potatoes and dressing. He said MMM after every bite.

After dinner we played with toys.
Grandma and grandpa brought over a new game to play after dinner. So when we finished eating we played a few games of Elefun.

Jason finally getting the trunk to stay up.

Talan catching many butterflies.

Fun for the whole family.

Lincoln loved picking up all the butterflies.

The best part of the game was trying to put all the butterflies in the elephant while the fan was going.

Grandpa Bill just relaxing after dinner.

After a few games of Elefun we decide to slow down the pace and play a few hands of Uno. Talan won every time. Even though he cheats a little we still love him.

If they won't let you play, eat the box.
After the festivities at our house we headed over to Jason's mom and dads to visit with his side of the family. We enjoyed visiting with them and munching on left overs. Then in was on to the newspaper to scout out all of the Black Friday deals. When we go home I hit the Internet and got all the deals that I wanted. I love the Internet. How did anyone shop for Christmas with out it.
I really enjoyed Thanksgiving this year. I am so thankful for my family and friends. They are what makes me truely happy.
