Christensen Family Christmas Eve PARTY!

Talan loves the Christmas Eve Party. His favorite part is the White Elephant Gift game. It is pure torture for him since we always eat before the game. The whole time that we eatting Talan is asking everyone if they are done. So this year grandma C let Talan open one gift soon as he got there. He was so excited.
Talan opening his salami. Most kids would be very disappointed about getting salami, but not Talan. Getting Salami is like eating Wendy's Chili on Thanksgiving. You couldn't get him something he would like more. I know my children have the weirdest taste. Talan loves chili and salami and all Lincoln will eat is Chicken in a Biscuit crackers.

Finally dinner was finished and we started the dice game. It is simple all you do is roll the dice and if you get doubles you get to open and present. If you are Talan you get to roll the dice and no matter what you get you get to open a present. I guess that is what happens when you are the only grandkid at the party who is old enough to understand the game.

Talan opening one of many gifts.

Lincoln was dressed for the occasion. Too bad he had no interest in opening anything.

He did like his new puzzle.

Grandma Christensen had found an old CandyLand that they had and showed Talan how to play it one day. He loves this game, so he was excited when he got his very own CandyLand. We literally play it daily.

Talan opened up these darling PINK socks. He was so embarrassed by the socks and all of us teasing him that he need to wear them. He quickly donated his gift to Lincoln. Unfortunately Lincoln is to little to resist so he got to wear the PINK girly socks for the night. I am sure that he will hate me one day for putting him in the Pink socks.

Lincoln loved to roll the dice. He spent more time rolling the dice and hitting himself in the head with the pan then playing with all the new toys he won.

The boys won these fun little guns that shot little spinners in the air. I don't know who had more fun, the big boys or the little ones. These guns where the hit at the party. It just goes to show that the Dollar Store stuff is just as fun and you don't feel bad when it is lost, broken or the kids don't want to play with it anymore.

Back to playing with the dice.
If I would have only know sooner. I could have save a ton and just bought Linx some Dice and a pan for Christmas. Last year it was Talan and the box that the gifts where in and this year if was Linx and the dice.

Where is Lincoln? Maybe the Pink socks will give it away.

More fun with the spin guns.

I love Christmas time. Not for the gifts and the extreme busyness, but for all the time you get to spend with family. We have been so blessed to have family so close to us. I am sure that these are the memories that my kids will remember. They will not remember what they got each year, but they will remember the time we spent together. I am so blessed this season to be surrounded with family and friends.
